THE HOLDEN GARDEN CLUB

About Us

The Holden Garden Club was founded in 1933 for the purpose of fostering an interest in gardening, horticulture and conservation.  The club is a member of The Garden Club Federation of Massachusetts, which expands the educational opportunities and the resources available to our members.

Ten meetings are held each year (usually on the first Thursday of the month) from September through May, at the Holden Senior Center, located at 1130 Main Street, Holden, MA 01520, and more than one-half of the meetings take place in the evening.

Members also enjoy the Annual Luncheon meeting at a local restaurant, and the Annual Members’ Garden Tour which occurs in June or July.

In addition, the Holden Garden Club offers several craft workshop meetings each year, which are focused on seasonal decorations or flower arranging.  Saturday excursions are also included, which begin at the Holden Town Hall, from where members carpool to noteworthy gardens or other horticultural sites.
